I'm just a fun-loving cat lady obsessed with anything Boho-inspired and who loves to spend her day eating coffee-flavored ice cream in bed.
I'm undeniably German regarding punctuality and taking everything literally, but unlike the common misconception about Germans, I have a great sense of humor.
If I learned one thing about visiting Oregon, it’s how unpredictable coastal weather is. While our prior family session at the coast was moody and overcast, and our morning session in the dunes was foggy and romantic, the sun showed off in all its glory during this beach session – YET, it was freezing and windy (great for pictures but not for notoriously cold photographers)
The second we got out of the car, I knew I had completely underestimated how cold it was. Still, luckily, Suzy lent me a cozy brown sweater, and my fingers stayed unfrozen throughout the beautiful session that ended with birds flying over our model family into the sunset.
Since this session summed up the last day of the Hometown retreat, we grabbed some post-session cocktails at a bar. We spent the rest of the evening chatting when I, rosy-cheekily and slightly clumsy, tried to wrestle my way out of Suzy’s fuzzy brown sweater. I heard Carly from Australia volunteer, “Let me help you, little Koala.” – This phrase was immediately burnt into my memory as one of the cutest things anyone has ever called me.
I couldn’t have had a more magical last night with the girls from this one-of-a-kind retreat, and they made it incredibly hard to pack up and leave the following day.
